God writes straight with crooked lines!

Laura was a little girl who lived with her mother in the suburbs of a big city. She grew up watching her single mother's tireless efforts to sustain their life and ensure that her daughter had access to an education.

As she grew up, Laura witnessed how poverty transformed people's lives, sometimes leading them to excel, but more often than not, limiting their dreams and opportunities and even causing them misery. And she always wondered how such different results could occur. But what saddened and intrigued her so much also gave her the motivation to act and transform this reality.

When her mother fell ill, she had to accompany her to hospital several times, and there she witnessed something that really inspired her to dream about her future. She saw people helping others to recover their health and save their lives. And so she decided that she would be a doctor to do the same.

Despite the difficulties, Laura doggedly pursued this dream and promised it to her mother on her deathbed.

Determined and hard-working, Laura fought hard to get into medical school, but unfortunately she never made it, finding refuge in the nursing profession.

Years passed, and although Laura had achieved success in her career and was happy with what she was doing, she still carried with her a sense of failure, as if she had let her mother and herself down.

One day, while passing a homeless assistance center, Laura saw an ad asking for volunteer nurses to help out in a small village nearby. This opportunity sparked a sparkle in her eyes and a sense of joy she had never experienced before.

Laura signed up as a volunteer and was sent to the village. There, she was able to help hundreds of people and became loved by the whole community, especially the children, to whom she paid special attention.

One moonless night, as Laura gazed up at the starry sky, her mind wandered to the past. Realizing the pain she still carried for not becoming a doctor, Laura began to question herself and reflect on her entire life journey up to that point.

In an epiphany, she realized that everything she had dreamed of was coming true. She realized that she was in the place she had always wanted to be, part of a community, transforming people's lives and saving lives. She also realized, with emotion, that her mother's illness was the driving force behind her desire to be a doctor. And noticed that because of her obstinacy in becoming a doctor, she failed to see the magic of how her dream in essence manifested itself in another way.

And in that magical moment, she was able to see her journey through different eyes and experience that magic that moves life along mysterious paths that sometimes we can't explain.

She realized how much her heart and her intuitions conduced her, even when she knew nothing, and how much she was invisibly guided in moments of uncertainty and difficulty.

And so, as she contemplated the infinite universe before her, Laura felt that she was exactly where she was supposed to be, and that at no point in her journey was she alone. She felt immense gratitude for every detour on her path, because it was through these detours that she grew and transformed, finally finding the clarity and wisdom to realize the true longings of her soul.

And so, with a full heart, she moved on, confident that the universe had a plan for her, and that even when it wasn't as she wished or imagined, it led her along mysterious paths to her destiny.

The next day, walking to work, Laura remembered a phrase her grandmother always used to say: "God writes crooked things right." And she thought happily: "Now I get it, Grandma!"

This beautiful story makes us reflect on the true motivation behind our dreams and desires, and to let go of how we get there. It shows us that when we let go of the desire to plan and control the how, we can realize the magic of being guided by a mysterious force that governs life. And it invites us to trust and surrender to the flow of life, listening with our hearts (the home of our souls) to what is really the essence of what we seek.

And so we live more in the here and now, avoiding many of the frustrations and sufferings that arise when we struggle with what manifests itself.

How has this mysterious force led you to where you are today?

What is the essence behind your dreams and desires? Whether it's the house you want to own, the place you dream of living in, the profession you want to pursue... Security, love, health, recognition...

Namaste!
